Certified Information Systems Security ProfessionalIn 2006, Dr Dennis Perry sat the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) examination. Having satisfied both the formal examination requirements and the extensive work experience requirements of the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, he was duly certified as a CISSP (#102842). What does the (ISC)2say about this certification?
"Global Recognition for Top Information Security Professionals As the first credential accredited by ANSI to ISO Standard 17024:2003 in the field of information security, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification provides information security professionals with not only an objective measure of competence but a globally recognized standard of achievement. The CISSP credential demonstrates competence in the 10 domains of the (ISC)² CISSP® CBK®." Prior to sitting the examination, Dr Perry attended a CISSP Fast Track course run by Les Bell, a colleague of many years standing, and made available to the public by ALC Training. Les acted as sponsor for certifying the work experience once the examination requirements had been satisfied.
